1. Is wearing a bikini acceptable in Sri Lanka?
Bikinis are acceptable attire at many of Sri Lanka's well-known tourist destinations, including Bentota, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Hikkaduwa, Trincomalee, and Pasikuda, despite the fact that majority of the country frowns upon the wearing of revealing clothing.
However, it is advisable to wear shorts and a tank top if you are at a beach that is less popular with tourists. You won't draw any unwanted attention if you do this.
Simply wear a sarong before you go if visiting a beach café, turtle hatchery, or any other nearby attraction is on your schedule. The majority of upscale hotels primarily serve travelers. Bikinis are acceptable to wear at
2. Are shorts permitted in Sri Lanka?
It's quite simple to determine the answer to this: sure, you can. Even the natives dress in shorts to beat the heat, so while packing for your trip, please remember to avoid hotpants. Since Sri Lankans place a high value on modesty, wearing hotpants is not considered appropriate.

3. Are shoulders permitted in Sri Lanka?
Absolutely. The only time this does not apply is when you are inside a temple. As I indicated previously, you must enter a religious place with your arms covered up to your elbows.
If visiting a temple is not on your to-do list, feel free to go around with your shoulders bare!
