Transport Issues
Hey guys, I'm looking forward to our visit next month. We are 4 adults and planning a 19 day trip. Hotels and the train ride form kandy to ella are already booked. We are wandering what would be the best way to travel, besides the train. For example a daily tour from kandy to the lions rock. Should we do it with a local driver or rent a car for the day? Is it easy to do it without a guide? Can we book that spontaneously, like one day before? Or should we plan the adventures in advance? Thx for the help. (FROM FB)
Transport Issues
Q - Can anyone suggest a way to get from Ella to Arugam Bay? I understand it’s the end of the season, so there may not be many people heading that way. I haven’t been able to find anyone to split a taxi with. Is the bus the next best option, or are there companies that organise shared cars/vans? From FB
A - Hey I did the over night air-conditioned bus from galle and it was really good
Bottom Line - In Sri Lanka Public transport is not that great. Plan a taxi with guide

Raquel Raposo
Hey everyone. My boyfriend and I are going to be going to Sri Lanka for 60 days and i am hoping someone could help me as I have the following questions which I couldn’t find answered directly in this group.
1- has anyone successfully gotten the visa extension online? If so, how long did it take and whats the website? Do I have to be in Sri Lanka to apply?
2- how soon after my arrival can I apply for the visa extension? what is the address of the immigration office for this extension?
Please note I an not looking to hire an someone to do this for me, I just need guidance on how to complete this process. Thank you!
