COMMON ISSUES & ANSWERS
Q When I apply for my sri lankan visa through ETA online and request 30 days tourist visa, does the 30 days start from when you are granted it or from when you arrive at the airport?
A It start the moment you arrive at the airport
Q This question has probably been asked millions of times but how many days in advance can we book our Visa......Plenty of time as we do not fly out until the end of Feb 2024
A A week or two i advance in more than enough.. usually you get it within a day or two Dear John, ETA you can get in minute's when you apply and it's valid from the date of arrival. Initially it's granted for 30 days and if you want it can extend when you're in sri lanka. I hope this is clear for you. Thx It's always better if you could do the ETA one month ahead because should there be a delay, you could address the situation. If not you could also get your visa upon arrival. Hope this helps
Q I have a question. Due to a typo mistake when I applied for my visa I wrote my date of birth wrong. What is the way to change this?
Many thanks for your help
Hi, I had the same problem. My son's birth year was wrong by mistake. Visa officer at the airport made me apply for a new visa. Had to pay again.
Wanna apply for ETA but use only one way ticket.
Onward ticket only necessary at airline check in and immigration?
